Obituary

Kathryn A. Bergstrom, (Kay) of Doylestown Township, passed away on Saturday, March, 27, 2021 at Doylestown Hospital. Kay was 85 years young.

Kay was the beloved wife of the late Robert A. Bergstrom, who passed away in December of 2009.

Kay was born in Manhattan, New York, grew up in Tarrytown, New York before becoming a long-time resident of Blauvelt, New York. She was the daughter of the late William and Florence Jones.

Kay graduated from Elmira College in Elmira, New York with a degree in Social Work.
Kay worked as a Social Worker for the state of New York, prior to retiring.

Kay was a faithful friend and pet lover, an avid and masterful gardener, and enjoyed traveling with friends and family. Kay will be remembered for her skillful and delicious cooking, her wonderful sense of humor and her generous spirit.

Kay will be deeply missed by her three children; her son Gunnar Bergstrom and his wife Liz, Kay’s daughters Britt Bergstrom and Christina Bergstrom, and two grandchildren, Blake Bergstrom and Luke Bergstrom.

Kay’s family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the Shelly Funeral Home, 1460 Easton Road, Warrington, PA 18976. Kay’s interment will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, 540 N Broadway, Sleepy Hollow, New York.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kathryn Bergstrom’s name may be made to the St. Francis Breadline: stfrancisbreadline.org

    Please meet at the second gate entrance at 3:00 PM. This is the entrance with the main office. Do not meet at entrance at the Old Dutch Church. At 3:00 PM, we will process back to the grave together.

Mrs. Bergstorm, Thank-you for providing advice and a green thumb to a tree on the corner of our house many years ago. The tree grew beautifully and continues to grow today. We wish you peace in your next journey. May God bless you.
