On Monday, September 24, 2018, Richard (Rick) Steinmetz beloved husband and
Father, had passed away suddenly at his home battling rare illnesses at the age of 65.
Rick was born 1952 in Philadelphia to the late Edward and Eleanor (Gregoria) Steinmetz.

He served in the USNR from 1972-1977 with an Honorable Discharge.
Rick worked mostly his entire life in the Newspaper Industry retiring after 27 years in 2013 as Circulation Director for the Courier Post Newspaper in NJ.
He was a Member of the American Legion Post PA 0242.

Rick was a loyal Phillies and Eagles fan through and through and loved getting Diamond Box seats to bring his friends & family.
He loved gatherings with his family and friends, Taking a lot of trips, Relaxing on the Front Porch rocker gazing out over our property, Rehashing stories, Cutting his lawn, Admiring his son how he was so talented, his job, and hanging out with his Dogs (Eddie and Casey).
Rick was a compassionate man with heart of gold, A True Leader in his job, mentor to many, and Quite a character you would never ever forget from the moment you met him. He was always upbeat with a smile on his face and a positive attitude.

Rick was an exceptionable man who made an impression or a difference in everyone's life. He was just a wonderful, loving and terrific Husband and Father who loved with all his heart and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Rick was preceded in death by his Brother Edward F., Grandmother Mary, and Father in Law Edward P. Lawrence.

He is survived by his beloved wife Brenda of 32 years, his Stepson (But a son to him) Denis P. Cogan, a sister Cynthia (Anthony) Desimone, a Niece Tina DeSimone, Nephews Anthony (Maureen) DeSimone, Thomas (Janine) Desimone, Michael (Kristin) Steinmetz, Kevin Steinmetz, Great Nieces Lily, Ella DeSimone.
His Mother in Law Lois Lawrence, Brother-in Laws, Edward R. (Sandra) Lawrence, Terrance L .Lawrence, Niece Jennifer Lawrence, Terrance (Kimberly) Lawrence, Sean (Danielle) Lawrence, Michelle Lawrence and partner Edward, Nicole Lawrence. Great Nieces Olivia, and Lyla Lawrence.

Rick’s Funeral service will be held at the Shelly Funeral Home in Plumsteadville, Pa on Monday, October 8 with visitation from 10-11AM and service following at 11AM.
