Obituary for William F. "Bill" McDonnell

William F. McDonnell of Warrington, PA., passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, May 18, 2021. He was 63 years old.

Born in Philadelphia, Bill was the son of the late William F. and Mary (O’Kane) McDonnell.
He was the beloved husband of Lisa (Harpf) McDonnell, to whom he was happily married for 35 years. Together they raised two sons, William F. III (Kristin) and Owen (Amanda).

Bill graduated from Central Bucks West High School (’75) and continued his education at Ursinus College, where he received a bachelor’s degree in Business.

Well respected and known for his professional acumen, Bill owned and operated the Red Stallion in Warminster for over 30 years. Most recently, he was employed as a controller at Lentzcaping in Warrington.
In addition to his wife and sons, Bill is survived by his sisters, Maureen McDonnell and Carol Pincus (Robert), and his granddaughter, Norah McDonnell.

Bill will be remembered as a loving father, loyal friend, talented athlete, and dedicated coach. He loved golf, the Phillies, Budweiser, music, and the late, great Cole (not necessarily in that order). He was a man of integrity, famous for his quick wit and pragmatic nature, who will be sorely missed by all.

A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at the Shelly Funeral Home, 1460 Easton Road, Warrington, where the family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 pm. Internment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Bucks County SPCA, 1665 Street Road, New Hope, PA 18938. www.bcspca.org
