Obituary for Walter E. Smith
Walter E. Smith passed away on Tuesday November 30, 2021, surrounded by his family at his home in Warrington. He was the husband of the late Judith (Hoch) Smith, who passed away in 2014.
Walt was born in Elizabeth, NJ and was the son of the late Alvin and Wanda Smith.
Walter loved to travel; he had camped all over the US with his family. Later in life he had taken many excursions to Europe with his wife Judy. He loved big band music and was an excellent dancer, especially with his favorite dance partner Judy. He was an avid reader. He especially enjoyed reading about history, mostly US and war history. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
Walt is survived by his children Tracey Berry (Bruce Wieder), Jennifer Towsey (David), and Kevin Smith. He was the brother of Barbara Kennedy. Walt is also survived by his grandchildren Scott (Heather), Ryan, Brian, Sienna, and Elizabeth.
Walt’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am on Saturday December 4th at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 856 Euclid Ave Warrington, PA. The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30am. Interment will follow at St. John Neumann Cemetery.
