Virginia S. Wilson, of Chalfont, passed away on January 2, 2021 at the age of 98.

Virginia was the beloved wife of the late G. Ronald Wilson, and the daughter of the late Harry M. and Alice Cooper Swartley. Born in Harleysville, she spent the last 90 years of her life in Chalfont. She was a long-time member of St. James Lutheran Church in Chalfont and is currently a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Montgomeryville.

She is survived by her son, George Ronald Wilson and his wife, Patricia, of Fort Mill, SC and daughter, Dolores Wilson of Chalfont. She is, also, survived by three grandchildren, Greg Wilson (Colleen), Julie Quillin (John), and Todd Wilson (Stacey); nine great-grandchildren, Ellie, Maggie, Owen, Cole, Brian, Laura, Rosie, Izzie, Allie; and two sisters, both in Chalfont, Beatrice Barr and Dolores Los (Joseph); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Virginia was a long-time member of the Chalfont Fire Auxiliary and spent many years serving turkey dinners. She worked at Ed’s Diner and Lancaster Dress in Doylestown.

A celebration of her life will be held when the pandemic is under control, hopefully later this year.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory can be made to the Chal-Brit Regional Emergency Medical Services, P.O. Box 506, Chalfont, PA 18914.

Dear George and Dorie,
Steve and I send our love to you and your family at this very sad time. Aunt Ginny was such a major figure in my life and she will be sorely missed. Her kindness , generosity and love for so many can not be compared. She will be remembered for the delicious treats she baked and her fun loving personality. The good times at Peck’s Pond and the shore will live on in my memory. Peace to all of you.
Love, Nori
