Obituary for Virginia L. Klein

Virginia L Klein, of Warrington, PA, formerly of Syracuse, NY, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at Neshaminy Manor Nursing Home in Warrington. She was 81.

Virginia was the loving wife of the late Leonard R Klein who passed away in October of 2003.

Born in Warren, OH, Virginia was the daughter of the late Harlie B and Erma L West. She moved with her family to Syracuse, NY when she was young and grew up in the North Syracuse area graduating from North Syracuse High School in 1959. Virginia and Leonard were married in October of 1961.

Virginia “Ginny” loved being a wife and mother and always found ways to make special days fun and memorable. She was involved in her church community at North Syracuse Baptist Church as a children’s teacher, women’s leader and deaconess as well as participating in the choir. Virginia also went on many church missionary trips including trips to England, Russia and Africa, her life long dream.

She loved to spend time at their camp on Panther Lake, NY relaxing with family and friends. Virginia is remembered as a woman who had a deep loving relationship with God and loved sharing it with others. Her creativity was seen in her crafting and especially her sewing, making clothes for her family, including her daughters wedding dress. Virginia was quick to smile, laugh and listen. Her love of teaching, together with her daily walk with God, brought wisdom and compassion to conversations that are still remembered.

Virginia was a grounding force for her family and will be deeply missed by her children, Christopher Klein, Heidi Dockens, Eric Klein, Kirk Klein as well her son-in-law and daughters-in-law; and her grandchildren, Nathan, Megan, Alyssa, Ainsley, Lauren, Jenna, Logan, Vaughn and Katherine. Because Virginia trusted Jesus with her eternity, she will be reunited with her friends and family that trusted Christ also including her grandson, Ian, who passed in 2019.

Services for Virginia will be held privately at the convenience of the family in Syracuse, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Virginia’s memory may be made to the North Syracuse Baptist Church (General Missions Fund), 420 S. Main Street, North Syracuse, NY 13212 or online at https://pushpay.com/g/thegatheringplace.
