Obituary for Thomas M. Wanders
Thomas M. Wanders, a 14 year resident of Jamison, formerly of Boston, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at his residence. He was 57.
Thomas was the loving husband of Valerie (Stimson) Wanders.
Born in Boston, MA, Thomas was a son of the late William and Anna Wanders.
Thomas was proud to have served with the US Navy from 1976 to 1980.
Thomas was employed as director of sales and marketing with Homasote, Trenton, NJ.
Thomas enjoyed golfing and vacationing in Martha’s Vineyard. He loved the Boston area and was a Boston sports fan, especially the Red Sox. Most of all, Thomas enjoyed spending time with his children.
In addition to his wife, Thomas is survived by a son Kevin and a daughter Sarah and her fiancé Brian Pokropski. He is also survived by 3 brothers, William, Steven and Alan, 2 sisters, Diane Fedele and Joyce Reekie and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Robert and Kenneth.
Thomas’ funeral mass will be 10:45 AM Monday, March 24, 2014 at St. Cyril of Jerusalem Church, 1410 Almshouse Road, Jamison. The family will receive friends 2-4:00 pm Sunday and 9-10 am Monday at the Shelly Funeral Home, 1460 Easton Road, Warrington. Interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bladder Cancer Advocacy network, www.bcan.org
