Obituary for Thomas J. Nadeau

Thomas J. Nadeau, 92, of Pipersville, PA passed away Oct 27, 2022.
Born in Augusta, Maine to the late John Nadeau and Lillian (McGuire) Nadeau, he was predeceased by his wife, Irene, in September 2001, his stepbrother Warren C. Rife in 1983, and his stepbrother Edward F. Rife in October 2020.

A veteran of the United States Navy, he served honorably as a Metalsmith Second Class, performing repair work in support of the amphibious ships and craft attached to the 7th Fleet, on the USS Askari (ARL-30), which was one of 39 Achelous-class landing craft repair ships built for the United States Navy during World War II. Tom served as part of the Japanese Occupation after WWII and in the Korean War Conflict.
After his military service, Tom worked as a millwright, welder, and carpenter. He enjoyed restoring old farmhouses with Irene, a testament to the strength of their marriage because they lived in the houses they were restoring!

Tom is survived by his children: Joseph W. Nadeau and Elizabeth A. Mitchell, his stepson Jay Wiff, and his stepbrothers Richard J. Rife and Alan R. Rife.
Services will be held privately.
