Obituary for Suzanne M. Olita

Suzanne Pauline Olita, 81, died peacefully on December 19, 2021 at Doylestown Hospital in the company of her husband, Julius (of 63 years), her daughters, Karen Spingler (John), and Aimee Williams (Mark). She is preceded in death by her son, Michael. Suzanne was the grandmother of Kirk Spinger (Megan), Tyler Spingler (Samantha), Amanda Murwin, and Matthew Williams. She is the great-grandmother of Carson, Sophia, and Miles. She is the sister of Henri Meillier and preceded in death by her brother, Raymond.

After graduation from Notre Dame High School, Suzanne attended Pierce Business School. Within her lifetime, Suzanne worked for law firms as an Administrative Assistant in Philadelphia, Norfolk, and San Diego. She married Jules in 1959 at the age of 18 while he was in the Navy and moved with him for 4 years (2 years in Norfolk, 2 years in San Diego). They eventually settled down in Pennsylvania (after 3 years in Atlanta with 3 children), and then Suzanne was employed by a growing services firm, TASA. She was the fifth employee there and retired from TASA after 31 years as its President. Suzanne’s most happy days were with TASA and she always attended their alumni luncheons. Suzanne and Jules settled in at the Lamp Lighter’s Community 15 years ago and met many new friends. Suzanne served on the e-mail committee, the Clubhouse Committee, the Social Committee, and the Executive Branch.

Friendly to a fault, Suzanne, with her dog Bandit, walked the lanes of our community, always cheerful. Her family saw her as a bottle of concentrated sunshine. And if anything motivated her, it was her family. Always proud, always loving, always sacrificing – for her family.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 12:00 PM at the Shelly Funeral Home, 1460 Easton Rd., Warrington, PA 18976. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Attendees are encouraged to speak about their memories of Suzanne. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Suzanne’s memory may be made to Doylestown Health Foundation, Children’s Village, 595 W. State St., Doylestown, PA 18901.
