Obituary for Stanley J. "Stan" Rath

Stanley J. “Stan” Rath, of Warrington, PA, age 51, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, May
13, 2022 at his residence.
Stan was the loving husband and best friend of Jaime Rath, together for 27 years. Franklin and Cassie, their two children, were the pride of his life.
Born in Norristown, PA, Stan was the son of Charles and Dorothy Rath.
Stan attended St. Helena’s Elementary School and Bishop Kenrick High School where he developed many lifelong friends.
Stan graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Computer Science. He was an active member of Alpha Chi Rho and remained a Crow through and through. He received his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Delaware.
Employed in Information Technology with Quest Diagnostics for 30 years, Stan was the rare long term company man. However, he did not live to work, he worked to live. His greatest enjoyment in life came from spending time at home and adventuring with his wife and children. His passions included family time hiking, fishing, boating, biking, video gaming and sports with the kids. Chasing solar eclipses is a family tradition that will be carried forward forever.
Stan thrived in debates involving science, math and Philly Sports. He was a true 4 for 4 guy – just ask Jaime for his internet password. He loved Sunday Eagles watch parties in the Nest, a good comedy, quoting classic movie lines, Star Trek and listening to The Who. He was a quiet man, who was always there for anyone who needed a shoulder, a joke, or even a little tutorial in theoretical physics.
In addition to his wife and children, Stan will be deeply missed by his brothers, Chuck Rath (Debra), Edward Rath (Natalie), Daniel Rath (Monica), Joshua Sklar (Ellen); his sisters, Elizabeth Santangelo (Steve), Susan Collins (Jon); Erika Pflugrath (Mike); 19 nieces and nephews; and 8 great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 20 at 10:00am.
