Obituary for Samuel Robert "Bob" Roth

Samuel Robert “Bob” Roth, of Bedminster Twp., passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Grand View Hospital. He was 81.

Bob was the beloved husband of Elaine (Griffith) Roth. The couple would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on May 7, 2021.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Samuel and Eleanor (Long) Roth. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his sister, Pauline Roth.

Bob loved the Lord and was a long time member of Hilltown Baptist Church, where he volunteered maintaining the cemetery, painting and making coffee for the congregation.

Bob was employed by the Pennsylvania State Game Commission as a Game Propagator. After his retirement he enjoyed accompanying the men when releasing pheasants on Game Lands and also maintaining Wood duck boxes and bluebird houses.

Bob enjoyed being outdoors, maintaining his property, building blue bird houses, bowling, driving his cars and spending time with his family. He was a model train enthusiast and built a large platform each year to display his trains and villages for the grandchildren and friends.

In addition to his wife, Elaine, Bob will be deeply missed by his two daughters, Patricia Curry (William), Sharon Peak (Grayson); and three grandchildren, Joshua, Rachel, and Lauren.

Bob’s funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Hilltown Baptist Church, 26 Upper Church Rd., Chalfont, PA 18914. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in the Church’s adjoining cemetery.
