Obituary for Roy Wesley Flynn
Roy Wesley Flynn, of Warrington, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at his residence. He was 87.
Roy was the loving husband of Sandra Flynn. The couple would have celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary in July.
Born in Bridgeport, CT, he was a son of the late Roy L. and Bertha Flynn.
Roy attended Drexel University where he graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering.
After graduating from Drexel University, Roy worked at Rohm and Haas as a project manager and chemical engineer until his retirement. He invented 5 patents over his lifetime.
In his free time, Roy enjoyed Golf, Reading, Jazz Music, taking his dogs on walks, watching football on Sundays with his daughter & son-in-law, and spending time with his family & grandkids.
In addition to his wife, Sandra, Roy will be deeply missed by his 7 children, Kimberly O’Neill (Tom), Stacey Brand, Michael Flynn (Tushanna), Barbara Strigel (Wolfgang), Roy Flynn Jr., Christopher Flynn, Robert Flynn (Cindy); 10 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by his siblings, Larry and Mercedes; and his son-in-law, Kevin Brand.
Roy’s services will be held private at the convenience of the family.
