RoseAnne Serianni, a resident of Warminster for the past 4 years, formerly of Jamison for the prior 28 years, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021, at Doylestown Hospital of complications related to the COVID-19 virus. She was 72 and will be sadly missed by all who were fortunate to know her.
RoseAnne was the wife of the late Ralph L. Serianni (1949 - 2010) for 37 years. The couple raised three daughters, and RoseAnne played active roles in their co-curriculars, leading Girl Scout troops, refereeing sports, and shuttling them to and from lessons and events. Raised in Roslyn, she was the daughter of the late Rachael Berezney (née Chicco) and the late Michael Berezney of Moscow. She was also the sister of the late Michael Allen Berezney of Moscow.
RoseAnne was a graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School and worked as a cytotechnologist for Smithkline Beecham Clinical Laboratories, later Quest Diagnostics, before the birth of her children; she returned to the company for another 25 years when her girls were school-age. Tough as nails, RoseAnne was a prayerful cancer survivor, wholly devoted to Mother Mary, who enjoyed many a laugh over Everybody Loves Raymond. Finding an inspiring newspaper clipping on her fridge or between the pages of her books was commonplace.
RoseAnne was a voracious reader, exquisite knitter, regular bingo player, history buff, and traveler. She delighted in buying gifts for her grandchildren and spending time at the VFW Post 6493, Warminster. Her four-legged friends, a good movie, and a new recipe brought her much joy. Her grandchildren relished the pizzelle cookies she baked with love, and she could not resist a Manhattan and an hors d’oeuvres spread, which she affectionately referred to as “snackies.”
RoseAnne leaves behind three daughters, Andrea Glowatz and her husband, Greg of Chester County, Gia Serianni and her husband, John Java of Pittsburgh, and Linda Serianni of Doylestown; and four grandchildren between the ages of 4 and 14: Cassidy Collins, Lucas Glowatz, Juliana Java, and Ella Java. She is also survived by one brother, David Berezney of Lake St. Louis, MO, and his wife Ann.
RoseAnne’s Funeral Mass will be at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 9, at St. Cyril of Jerusalem Church, 1410 Almshouse Road, Jamison. Family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Strict physical distancing will be in effect and attendees must be properly masked at all times. Interment will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Warrington Township.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Foundation for Women's Cancer, COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund, or Doylestown Hospital.
