Obituary for Robert Henry Jacobus Sr.

Robert Henry  Jacobus Sr.
Robert Henry Jacobus, Sr., a life long resident of Fairfield, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Christ Home in Warminster. He was 87.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Jacobus, whom he shared 45 years of marriage with.
Born in Caldwell, NJ, he was the son of the late Harold and Louise Jacobus.
Robert was proud to have served with the US Army during WWII and was an avid history buff.
He spent many years working at Meadows Golf Club in Lincoln Park, NJ as their golf course superintendent.
Robert was an active member of the Montville United Methodist Church where he served as a youth leader for 27 years. He was a faithful church worker and constant witness to the glory of God. He enjoyed volunteering at Camp Aldersgate in Swartswood, NJ and was also a leader with 4H for 12 years. Robert enjoyed nature, gardening and baseball, but the most important thing to him was his family.
Robert is survived by his son, Robert H. Jacobus, Jr., and his wife Jayne, his grandchildren, Elizabeth Jacobus and Robert Jacobus, III (Amanda) and his great granddaughter, Hope. He was preceded in death by his brother, Harold, and sister, Ruth.
There will be a memorial service to celebrate Robert's life at 11:00 am, on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 2131 Palomino Drive, Warrington, PA 18976. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am until the time of service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Home, 1 Shepherd’s Way, Warminster, PA 18974.
