Obituary for Robert J. Glavin
Robert J. Glavin, of New Britain Twp., passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022 at Gwynedd Healthcare Center in Lansdale. He was 86.
Robert was the loving husband of Dorothy Glavin. The couple celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary in May of 2022.
Born in Jersey City, NJ, Robert was one of five children of the late Joseph and Mary Glavin.
Robert was a member of the Army National Guard. He also enjoyed boxing during his younger years at the local gym.
He was employed as a salesman for the Benjamin Moore Paint company where he also worked as an architectural Representative.
In his free time, Robert enjoyed golf, family time with grandchildren, children and quiet time with his wife Dorothy.
In addition to his wife, Dorothy, Robert will be deeply missed by his two daughters, Patricia Maguire (Bill), Sherrill Ciarrocca (Anthony); 8 grandchildren, Casey, Anthony, Robert, Caroline, Colleen, William, Margaret, Kerri; and his two brothers, Joseph Glavin (Catherine), and William Glavin(Jackie).
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 235 E. State St., Doylestown, PA 18901. Robert’s family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until the start of Mass. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Robert’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
