Obituary for Richard P. McEwen
Richard P. McEwen of Warrington, PA passed away on Sunday May 22, 2022 at Doylestown Hospital surrounded by loved ones. Richard was 84 years old. He was the husband of the late Helen McEwen. Together the couple had shared 59 1/2 years of marriage. Richard had a wonderful relationship with his late mother in law Helen Finnegan.
Born in Philadelphia, Richard was the son of the late Vincent and Anna (Delaney) McEwen.
Richard had served in the United States Air Force and had been employed with Flexible Circuits in Warrington as a production control manager. Richard was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He enjoyed Philadelphia sports and was an avid Phillies fan.
Richard is survived by his sons Kevin and Keith McEwen. He was the grandfather of Briana N. McEwen and great grandfather of Braelynn, Ryland, Ensley and Anthony. He is the brother of Eleanor Hoffman (Bob), Barbara Carney, and brother-in-law of Eleanor McEwen. Richard was preceded in death by his sister Carol Schatz and his brother Donald McEwen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Richard’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday June 1, 2022 at 11:00am at St. Joseph Church 1795 Columbia Ave. Warrington. Internment will follow in Whitemarsh Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8pm at the Shelly Funeral Home 1460 Easton Rd.Warrington and at the Church on Wednesday from 10:00am until the time of Mass.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and The Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
