Obituary for Richard Acel "Ace" Hutchinson
Richard A. Hutchinson, of Plumsteadville, PA passed away on January 8, 2020 at his home. He was 80 years old.
Richard, or Ace as most would know him as, was the loving husband of Tacie Stella. The couple would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in September. Ace was the father of Cynthia Ebner of Orelend; Donna Thaler of North Wales; Richard Hutchinson, Jr of Jim Thorpe, Robert Hutchinson of Warminster, and Kelly Antrim of Arizona. In addition to his wife and children, Ace will be missed dearly by his dog, Amber, and by many extended family and friends.
Born in Beverly, Massachusetts, Ace enlisted in the Marine Corp, and served at Camp Legume NC. Ace spent most of his career working at American Electronic Laboratories in Lansdale, PA. Ace was a valued employee of Delaware Valley University in New Britain, PA before retiring.
In his free time, Ace was an enthusiastic fan of the NFL following the Philadelphia Eagles football team. He also had a love for animals, specifically dogs. He enjoyed playing cards with his friends and family members. He enjoyed gardening and working on his home, as well as taking walks in Peace Valley Park.
In lieu of flowers, Ace’s family would appreciate memorial contribution in his name to the Alzheimer’s Research Foundation or the Gary Sinise Foundation for Veterans.
