Michael W. Boettcher Sr.
was a lifelong resident of both Hatboro and Warminster, died in his home, surrounded by his family on Wednesday October 31st, 2018. He was 59 years old.
Mike is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 34 years Janis (nee Lightkep) and their children, Melissa O’Shea, Jenna Pandaleno ( Bridget ) Michael Boettcher Jr. Sean O’Shea, Christina Boettcher, Elise Boettcher and “Special” Nephew/Son Christopher Eiden( Christie)
Mike was born in Abington, PA., and was the son of the late Ralph Boettcher and Elizabeth ( Traurig) Boettcher. He was the brother of Ralph Boettcher Jr. (Dena), Tina Lukoschek and the late Renee O’Shea.
Beloved nephew of Joan and Chuck Butz
Mike is also survived by his In-laws William and Joan Lightkep Jr., Brother- in-law William Lightkep III, Sister-in-law Debra Burger and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Special Lovey –in-law to Joanne Tino Cosby
Mike was known as Pop or Popaloopa he will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Saige, Tatum, Kolton, Liam and Rowan.
A special shout out to friend and neighbor Josh Barnes.
Michael was a father figure to many especially Nate, Steven, Mark, Josh and Buddy.
One of the many highlights Mike looked forward to, was Janis’ planning of the yearly family vacation. They ranged from the Caribbean to Maine. They included what looked like haunted houses to 5 star resorts, and somehow always included more than just immediate family.
Mike had the honor of working the last 13 years for Arnie Berkowitz at Circle Valve Technologies, Inc. Harleysville, Pa. His work was his passion and his boss was his friend. He considered his coworkers his extended family.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday November 8th at 11:00am at the Shelly Funeral Home, 1460 Easton Rd., Warrington Pa., where the family will receive friends after 9:00am until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers Mike has requested donations be made to The Delaware Valley Chapter of the National Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Team: Saige’s Soldiers
