Obituary for Mary M. McDonnell
Mary M. McDonnell passed away peacefully on Monday, July 21, 2014. For the past 12 years she was a resident of the Pine Run Community. Prior to living at Pine Run, Mary lived in Warrington, PA.
Mary was the loving wife of the late Paul F. McDonnell, Jr. She is survived by their 2 daughters, Cathy Benner of Chalfont, PA and Beth Bechtold of Jamison, PA. as well as her son-in-law, Paul Bechtold. Her warm smile and loving nature will be missed by her cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Born in Newark, NJ, Mary was the daughter of the late Andrew and Catherine Dougal. She was a wonderful pianist and shared a life-long love for music. For most of the past 43 years, Mary was an active member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Warrington. Her caring spirit and love of helping others led her to establish a Shepherding Program encouraging members to support and care for other members.
A memorial service for Mary will be held for the Pine Run Community at 1:30 pm Friday, July 25, 2014 in the Auditorium at the HUB at Pine Run. There will also be a service to celebrate Mary’s life at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church on August 16, 2014. Additional information will be made available prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Doylestown Hospital Hospice, c/o Development Office, 595 W. State Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 or to the Ocean Grove Now and Forever Fund, PO Box 248, Ocean Grove, NJ 07756.
