Obituary for Marjorie J. "Marge" Kuhn

Marjorie J. Kuhn (nee Newmeyer), 88, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 2, 2022. Born on November 14, 1933 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Lillian (nee Moffet) and Forrest Newmeyer. Marjorie graduated from Olney High School in 1951, then attended Gettysburg College for one semester before marrying her high school sweetheart, Lawrence John Kuhn on September 11, 1954. Not long after they were joined by their children: Jeanette, Linda, Lawrence, and Leah.

Marjorie went on to attend Pierce Junior College. She had a successful career as a church secretary and then as Office Manager for Dr. Jake Rosner in Warminster for over 30 years.

After 35 years of marriage and the loss of her first love, Larry, Marjorie was blessed to find love again. She married Ervin Ehresmann in 1992 and they enjoyed the next 20 years together.

Active in the church community at Neshaminy-Warwick Presbyterian Church, Marjorie served as an elder and a deacon, as well as singing in the church choir and making lifelong friends in the Bible study group. In the Dock Woods community, one could find Marjorie playing bocce ball, attending Pilates and Tai Chi classes, playing shuffleboard, competing in Ping Pong tournaments and volunteering in their Acorn Shop. She loved gardening and puzzles (and could do the Sunday crossword puzzle like nobody’s business). She became a Words with Friends opponent and most recently learned about Wordle. One of her favorite places to be was Ocean City, NJ spending time with family and friends

She is survived by her 4 children Jeanette Vizoco (Louis), Linda King (Charles), Lawrence Kuhn, and Leah Miller; her seven grandchildren Sean, Eric, Brandon (Tiffany), Randi (Jaysen), Courtney, Julia (Will), and Justin; and her five great grandchildren Breanna, Hayley, Hudson, Remi, and Olivia. She is predeceased by her husbands Lawrence (1989) and Ervin (2012) and her siblings; Warren, Dorothy, Ruth, and Donald (who bestowed her with her favorite nickname Smoo). Marjorie will be sorely missed by her cherished extended family and friends, one sister in law, and many nieces and nephews, as well as the many lives she touched in the communities of Gwynedd Square Presbyterian Church, Neshaminy Warwick Presbyterian Church, and Dock Woods.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 18th at Gwynedd Square Presbyterian Church, 837 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, Pennsylvania. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. and the service will begin promptly at 10 a.m. The interment will follow immediately after the service at the Neshaminy-Warwick Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 1440 W. Bristol Road, Warminster Pennsylvania.
