Margaret F. Allen of Doylestown formerly of Chestnut Hill in Philadelphia passed away on Monday December 3, 2018 at Neshaminy Manor in Doylestown. She was 87 years old.

Margaret was born in Philadelphia and was the daughter of the late John P. and Mary (Nee Welsh) Flannery. Margaret had graduated from Mount St. Joseph Academy, class of 1949. She had been employed with the Free Library of Philadelphia as a Librarian. Later she had worked in sales at the John Wanamaker Department Store in Philadelphia.

Margaret is survived by her children Mary Anne Morris (Dan) and John Q. Allen (Colleen). She was the grandmother of Andrea and Robert Morris, Zachary, Austin, Tyler, and Emily Allen. She was preceded in death by her daughter Eva Ruth Stout.

Margaret’s Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Friday, December 7, 2018 at the Shelly Funeral Home, 1460 Easton Road, Warrington, where the family will receive friends after 10:00 AM until the time of service. Internment will follow in Doylestown Cemetery.
