Obituary for Manfred H. "Buck" Schuster

Manfred Helmut Schuster otherwise known as “Buck” to those that had the pleasure of knowing this amazing larger than life man, passed away on Sunday December 25, 2022, at his home in Ottsville.

Born in Rosenheim Germany on February 9, 1937, He was the son of the late Frank and Kathryn Schuster. He came to this country as a feisty 2 year old, he was almost swept overboard; life and a sailor had bigger plans for him.

Buck was a man of hard work and ethics. He was a proud husband and Dad that stood firm on his beliefs of being the sole provider. He left behind the love of his life his wife of 51 years Cathleen; his two children Heidi and Erik his granddaughters Cathleen and Emmy and his great granddaughter Haven.

He was a stubborn and proud man that lived life to its fullest and then some. He started and operated a family business with his brother Leo that later morphed into an excavation company. This is where he thrived as a swimming pool excavator. He was a man of many skills and had accomplished great things in his life. When he stepped aside from work, which was not often, he enjoyed racing cars, flying airplanes, sky diving, bungee jumping and raising hell!
Buck loved hard and was loved hard equally. Heaven received the ultimate gift on Christmas day. "Wally, until we meet again my friend'

A memorial service to celebrate Buck’s life will be held at 3:00pm on Monday January 2, 2023 at the Shelly Funeral Home Easton and Keller’s Church Road, Plumsteadville. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home from 2:00pm until the time of service. Internment will be held privately.
