Leonard A. Schaible
Leonard Allen Schaible, an honest man, a lifelong resident of Tinicum Township died May 18, 2014 at his home. He was 74. He was the husband of Lucinda Taylor. He was the son of the late Leonard (Malty) and Martha Schaible of Tinicum
Leonard had graduated from Palisades High School 1957
He had retired August 1, 1990 from the Philadelphia Electric CO after 28 years. He started as a lineman, then transferred to the construction department and retired as a substation operator.
Leonard had enlisted in the Air Force in April 1958. He was stationed in Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX and served in Okinawa Japan. He was certified in the 313th Air Division Military Curriculum and Phase One Code of Conduct training. He was honorably discharged in November 1961.
He always had a motorcycle. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and working in his shop. He was a wise man who knew how things worked. He was tender-hearted, especially towards animals and children
Leonard is survived by his son: Leonard Carl Schaible and his wife Krista, his Daughter: Melanie Kristen Fortunato, his Grandchildren: Colton Karl, Hannah Elizabeth and Sarah Grace Schaible, and Catarina Mary and Leonard Walter Fortunato
His Son-in-law’s: Lenny and Jack
He was preceded in death sadly by his sister Sue Linskey
A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday August 2, 2014, at the Christ Lutheran Church, 353 E. Dark Hollow Rd, Pipersville.
