Obituary for Lee C. Shahan
Lee C. Shahan, III passed away on Tuesday September 13, 2022 at his home in Ottsville. Lee was 81 years old.
Lee was the husband of Janet M. Shahan. Together they had shared 55 years of marriage.
Born in Philadelphia, Lee was the son of Catherine F. and Francis J. Viall and the late Lee C. Shahan, Jr.
Lee graduated from Rockledge Public School and Lower Moreland High School, Huntington Valley. He attended LaSalle University.
Lee was proud to serve as a Navy Reservist at the Willow Grove Base.
Lee had been employed with Penn Engineering and continued as an independent engineering manufacturer representative through LeJon Associates.
Over the years in his free time Lee enjoyed playing football with friends and coworkers, playing basketball and rollerblading in Stone Harbor, and collecting trains. He was always an avid reader, his favorite history. Something Lee always looked forward to was getting together with his Rockledge classmates a few times each year.
In addition to his wife Janet, he is survived by his daughter Melanie Creegan and son-in-law Christopher Creegan. Lee was the grandfather of Amber and Sean Creegan.
A memorial service celebrating Lee’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at the Shelly Funeral Home, 5930 Easton Rd., Plumsteadville, PA 18947. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
