Obituary for Laura Garofalo
Laura Isabella Garofalo, 89, of Wilmington, DE formally of Philadelphia, PA passed away peacefully on September 26, 2022.
Laura was born on August 15, 1933 in Philadelphia to Edward and Laura Diem. She was a graduate of Frankford High School. Laura (Belle) married the love of her life, Frank (Guzzy) Garofalo in 1952. They enjoyed 45 years together filled with love, fun and adventures.
Laura Belle was the mother of Edward (Eddie) Garofalo (Becky) and Susan (Suzie) Heidinger. She loved and adored her children and four grandchildren, Candice Saienni (Jesse), Brian (Kate), Douglas (Mari), and Craig (Megan) Garofalo. As well as her six great-grandchildren, Whitney Garofalo, Avery Belle Saienni, Jeffery Garofalo, Jack Garofalo, Ella Saienni and Emily Garofalo.
Laura worked for Brooks Brothers in Philadelphia for many years. She will always be remembered for being an avid reader of many subjects, her love for the daily word puzzles and many yearly trips to the Jersey Shore with her loving family and friends. She also enjoyed her many trips to New York City to see Hugh Jackman in the Boy from Oz and watching any tennis tournament that Roger Federer was playing. Also, it must be said that Belle never missed a party.
Laura’s Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at the Neshaminy Warwick Presbyterian Church 1401 Meetinghouse Road, Warminster, PA 18974. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00am until the time of Service. Interment will be private.
