Obituary for LaDonna Lee Gibbs
LaDonna Lee Gibbs, of Tinicum Twp., passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022 at Doylestown Hospital. She was 78.
Born April 20, 1944 at Christian Welfare Hospital in East St. Louis, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Wallace Schmidt Jr (Aug. 2010) and Betty (Weatherly) Schmidt (Apr. 2007).
LaDonna was the beloved wife of the late Roger Lee Gibbs, who passed away on January 29, 2010.
LaDonna worked for 25 years for Sears Optical prior to retirement. She was a member of A Board of Opticians. She held a broker’s license with Keller Williams before she moved to Pennsylvania.
LaDonna was a member of Parkview Nazarene Church.
LaDonna was animal lover. She especially loved one very special puppy, Sammie, and 4 kittens who her daughter takes care of along with her very dear friend, Scott Gaun.
LaDonna leaves behind a daughter with whom she lived with, Stephanie Kay Gibbs; her great grandchildren, Aeris Lynn Guan and Oswin Thomas Guan; her son-in-law, Zachery Guan; her son, Stephen Daniel Sickage (Diane); two stepsons, Kevin and Keith Gibbs; two stepdaughters, Linda and Cheryn Leslie; granddaughters, Amber, Cassie, Peyton Gibbs; and Linda’s sons. She also leaves behind her sister by birth, Linda Kay Stauder (Bob) and her nephew, Jason Wallace Stauder.
In addition to her husband and parents, LaDonna was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Kay Leslie, who passed away in August of 2007.
Services for LaDonna will be held privately at the convenience of the family at Vahallia Cemetery. She will be laid to rest by her husband, mother, and father.
