Kevin C. Reilly, of Warrington, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Monday, March 21, 2022 at his residence. He was 84.
Kevin was the loving husband of Sallie Reilly. The couple would have celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary in October.
Born in Albany, NY, he was a son of the late Brendan Cox and Eileen Elizabeth Reilly.
Kevin served his country in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1963 where he attained the rank of Sergeant in the 2nd Infantry Division, stationed at Ft. Benning, GA.
Kevin was a proud 1957 graduate of Christian Brothers Academy in Albany, NY, and a 1966 graduate of LaSalle University, where he graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in Social Work.
Kevin worked for many years as a social worker for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and retired in 2002.
Kevin was a parishioner of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church in Warrington.
Kevin was a member of the PA Delaware Valley Wood Carvers, and of the Bucks County Fish and Game Association, where he was a certified youth rifle instructor for many years. Kevin was also a member of the Newport Hunting Club #1 in Bald Eagle State Forest in Siglerville, PA where he enjoyed hunting, friendship, and the great outdoors. Kevin was a frequent Summer resident of Murray Isle in the Thousand Islands, NY, where he enjoyed boating and the friendly community and easy pace of island life. He enjoyed hunting and shooting, model trains, laughing with friends, spinning a good yarn, and spoiling his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Sallie, Kevin will be deeply missed by his children, Daniel Brendan Reilly (Elizabeth), Melissa Reilly Barton (Vincent); 4 grandchildren, Quentin, Maguire, Eamon, Henry; his sister, Brenda Eileen Reilly; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Kevin was preceded in death by his brother, Derek Michael Reilly.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 856 Euclid Ave., Warrington, PA 18976. His family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass. Interment will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kevin’s name may be made to the ALS Association Greater Philadelphia Chapter, 321 Norristown Rd., Ste. 260, Ambler, PA 19002.
