Obituary for Justin Patrick Malone
Our beloved Justin Patrick Malone passed away on March 30, 2021. He was a loving son, brother and friend to all.
Justin was born in Doylestown on March 8, 1980 to Gloria Breen Hewitt and the late James Malone. He attended Pennridge High School, where he excelled in track and field and got his first taste of coding in creating PHS’s first website with his friend, Pete. He went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Millersville University in 2003, where he also played volleyball.
Justin lived most of his life in Hilltown, our home, but loved to travel extensively around the world. From surfing in Costa Rica, to hiking Mt. Washington and the Stairway to Heaven in Hawaii, to taking the Polar Bear Plunge in Sea Isle City, he not only lived his life but he experienced it. He loved many things including sports, coding, Mexican food, video games, the Poconos with friends, investing in crypto, ping pong, and eating three times more than anyone else at the table.
Our “gentle giant” was a caring person who was deeply devoted to his family and friends. Kindness and selflessness were hallmarks of his life. He was our superhero.
Justin is survived by his mother, Gloria Breen Hewitt, his stepfather Gregory Hewitt, his three sisters, Tara Malone, Erin Malone and Shannon Malone, his brother-in-law, Scott Ostrow, his niece June Ostrow, his stepmother, Anna Buczkiewicz Malone, his stepbrothers Ian Hewitt and Greg Buczkiewicz and his stepsister Kasia Parker. He was preceded in death by his father, James Malone.
Justin's funeral services will held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at the Shelly Funeral Home, 1460 Easton Rd., Warrington, PA 18976. Justin's family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and again on Thursday, April 8, 2021 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Doylestown Cemetery.
