Obituary for Joseph P. Simons

Joseph P.  Simons
Joseph P. Simons, a long time Warrington resident, went to his eternal
rest on July 13, 2014 in Doylestown Hospital. He was 91 years old.
Joseph was the son of the late Joseph L. Simons and Sarah D. Simons.
Joseph was the beloved husband of Marjorie Kerchner Simons for 48 years.
He is also survived by three step-children, Wayne Fitzgerald (Sharon),
Glenn Fitzgerald (Joanne) and Linda Fitzgerald, four grandchildren and
one great granddaughter. He was proceeded in death by his siblings,
Gerald Simons, Mary Fetterman and Elizabeth Schramm.
Joseph was a World War II veteran and received three bronze stars for
Ardennes, Rhineland and the Battle of the Bulge. He drove heavy tractor
trailers all over France, Germany and Belgium, to supply the troops.
Joseph operated his own trucking business and many post-war homes
In Bucks and Montgomery counties were products of his deliveries.
Friends and relatives are invited to Joseph’s viewing 8:30 to 9:30am Saturday, July 19, 2014 at the Shelly Funeral Home, 1460 Easton Road, Warrington followed by his funeral mass at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Easton and County Line Roads, Warrington. Interment will follow in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hilltown.
