Obituary for Joseph Knight

Joseph Knight of Ottsville, PA passed away on April 27th, 2023, at Doylestown Hospital. He was 71 years old. He was the husband of Jo (Lewis) Knight. They were looking forward to celebrating their 50th Anniversary this coming November.

Joe will be remembered as a devoted and loving knight in shining armor to his wife. His daughters Heather and Amity will always remember him as a loving, protective, and supportive father. His grandchildren Madison and Chase will remember their Papa’s abundance of love, engaging manner, and devotion to them. No one could ever take his place and he will always be in all our hearts.

Born in Abington, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Betty Ann (Hooper) Knight. Joe graduated from Palisades High School. He was employed by Bucks County Water and Sewer Authority for 43 years as a Utility Man and was part of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 835. He attended Bucks County Community College and earned numerous state certifications in his field. He was proud of his position on the Union safety committee. He retired in 2017.

Joe enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, traveling, gardening, riding on his John Deere, camping, his cars, NASCAR, sitting around the campfire in the Poconos, and our family pets. He was a 40- year member of the Moose Fraternity, Loyal order of the Moose, and higher degree Moose Legion. He also belonged to the Keelersville Club.

In addition to his wife Jo, he is survived by his Daughter Heather (Bill) Van Horn, Daughter Amity Knight, and Grandchildren Madison Jolie Van Horn and Chase Van Horn.
He is also survived by Brother-in-law Jeffrey (Patti) Lewis, Sister-in-law Mary Lewis Jesiolowski, Aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
