Obituary for John H. Munley Jr.

John H. Munley, Jr. passed away on Monday December 13, 2021, at his home in Doylestown.
John was 80 years old. He was the husband of Sharon L. (Wise) Munley.
Born in Great Neck, NY, John was the son of the late John H. and Mary (Rainey) Munley, Sr.
John graduated from Villanova University in 1963 with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and played Lacrosse. John spent the majority of his professional career as a successful Vice President of Sales in Healthcare IT. During his younger years, John served Buckingham Township as a Supervisor. He completed Biathlons and was active in coaching his children's sport teams.
After retiring, John earned his Real Estate license and volunteered at Doylestown Hospital. He was an active member of the YMCA, was an avid golfer and pickleball player.
John was a 27 year member of Doylestown Country Club and a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
The most important thing to John was family. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was proud of all the accomplishments of his Grandchildren and loved to share family gatherings. John was a loyal friend and held a sense of humor that could be compared to none.
In addition to his wife Sharon, John is also survived by his children; Jennifer Martin (Daniel), Elizabeth Danley (Steven), John H. Munley III (Danja) and Bridget Lussier (Justin); and his nine grandchildren, a great-grandson, 2 nieces and his Golden Doodle Abbey. He was preceded in death by his sister Judith (Munley) Clum and his first wife Eileen (Fitzgerald) Munley.
John’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am on Saturday December 18, 2021 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Doylestown, PA. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5:30—7:30pm at the Shelly Funeral Home 1460 Easton Rd. Warrington, PA., and on Saturday at the Church from 9:00am – 9:45am. Words of remembrance will begin at 9:45 followed by Mass.
