Obituary for John J. Markulin

John J.  Markulin
John J. Markulin, 90 of St. Petersburg Florida, Formerly of Southampton, PA passed away on March 4, 2014 surrounded by his children. He was preceded in death by his wife, Monica. John is survived by his five children, Renee, John (Faith), Monica (Cathleen), Janet and William Markulin. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, his great grandchild, many nieces/nephews, extended family and many friends. He was born and raised in Philadelphia and served as an Armed Guard for the United States Navy from 1943-45. He began his post war career with American Pully where he met his bride of 62 years. He then moved to Crown Cork & Seal until his retirement. He traveled around the world with his wife but mostly enjoyed the company of family and friends. John was known for his positive outlook on life, made everyone smile with a simple hello or saying one of his many jokes. He enjoyed big band music, dancing, walking, working in his wood shop and tinkering around the house. John’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday March 15, 2015 11:00am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church 611 Knowles Ave. Southampton. Family will receive friends at the Church from 10:00am until the time of Mass. Internment in Washington Crossing National Cemetery will be held Monday March 17, at 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his honor to American Veterans Center Attn: Gift of Support 1100 N. Glebe Rd.
