Obituary for Joanne M. Galganski

Joanne Marian Galganski (Warnowicz), age 75, passed away at her home on March 31st following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, she is survived by her daughter, Laurie (and son-in-law, Matt), granddaughter, Alexandra (Ally) and step-grandchildren, Anthony (Tony) and Abigail (Abby); as well as sisters and brothers-in-law: Mary Ann and Lou Papp, Dolores (Dee) and Greg Mordas, Patricia (Patty) Mioduszewski and Joe Zuppardo, and Linda and John Regan, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.

The daughter of Stella and Michael Warnowicz, Joanne was born in New Brunswick and grew up in South River, NJ. A graduate of St. Mary’s High School, Joanne worked for the Carter-Wallace of Cranbury, NJ, Eastburn & Gray PC of Doylestown, PA, and most notably at Merck & Co, Inc. in both West Point, PA and Whitehouse Station, NJ, where she retired after over 30 years. In each capacity she was known for her dedication, ingenuity and her generous spirit.

She faithfully served with great passion and dedication to St. Robert Bellarmine’s catholic community thru involvement with the school, which both her daughter and granddaughter attended, and the Church, as a devote member and ever-attentive gardener. The happiest times were spent with her daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughters. She relished every aspect of her granddaughters from academics to athletics and everything in between. They were perfect and could do no wrong in her eyes.

Joanne will be dearly missed by all for her, generous spirit, gracious smile, and her unforgettable presence. Her passing is a great loss to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Joanne’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday April 10, 2023 at 11:00am at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church 856 Euclid Ave. Warrington. The family will receive friends at the Church from 10:00am until the time of Mass. Internment will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to American Lung Association 625 N Governor Printz Blvd, Suite 2, Essington, PA 19029
