Obituary for Joan Yax-Fox
Joan Yax-Fox, of Tinicum Twp., passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023 at her residence. She was 86.
Joan was the loving wife of Eugene R. “Gene” Fox. The couple spent 33 wonderful years together.
Born in Belle Harbor, NY, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Adelaide Winfield.
Joan worked in the computer department for Bucks County Community College for 25 years.
In her free time, Joan enjoyed being at the beach in their home in Sea Isle City, NJ. Her greatest enjoyment in life came from spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, Gene, Joan will be deeply missed by her children, Charles Yax, Christopher Yax (Joanne), Amy Yax, Maryann Hendri, Cathy Jo Sitko (Gary); 5 grandchildren, Lila, Kevin, Soleil, Phoenix, Gary; 2 great grandchildren, Kingston, Martin; and a sister, Patty Cusack.
In addition to her parents, Joan is preceded in death by her first husband, Charles G. Yax; and a sister, Adelaide Hock.
A celebration of Joan’s life will be celebrated on Monday, February 27, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Shelly Funeral Home, 5930 Easton Rd., Pipersville, PA 18947. Her family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
