Joan J. Thomsen passed away on Thursday March 23, 2023 at her home in Furlong. Joan was 88 years old.

Joan was the daughter of the late Clarence and Jenny L. (Bradley) Thornton.

Joan had been employed with the Burpee Seed Co. in Warminster until her retirement in 1996.

In her free time Joan enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, participating in Community Bible Study and spending time with her family.


Joan is survived by her children; Susan J. Eckert (the late Jeffrey P. ) and Mark C. Thomsen. She was the grandmother of Mikayla J. Thomsen, Paul J. Eckert, and the late Julia R. Potter. Joan was the sister of the late Anne Taylor, Zannie Pasch, John and Charles Thornton.

Joan’s Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday March 30, 2023 at the Shelly Funeral Home 1460 Easton Rd., Warrington. The family will receive friends from at the Funeral Home from 10:00am until the time of service. Internment will follow at Doylestown Cemetery.
