Obituary for Joan Craig Cornell
Joan Craig Cornell, of Warminster, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Christ Home in Warminster. She was 92.
Joan was the loving wife of the late N. Albert Cornell, who passed away in 2014. The sister of the late Ruth Craig Seals.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Wesley Earl and Erma Craig.
Joan was a graduate of Germantown High School.
Joan was employed as a secretary for Curtis Publishing. She, then, became the secretary of various churches including: Calvary Baptist Church in Lansdale, Hilltown Baptist Church, Open Bible Church, and last Lighthouse Baptist Church.
In her free time, Joan enjoyed traveling volunteering , entertaining and spending time with her friends and family.
Joan will be dearly missed by her three sons, Daniel Mabie and his partner, Joann Reed, John Cornell and his wife, Amanda, and Rob Cornell; her 7 grandchildren, Brandon, Christopher, Joel, Elizabeth, Anna, Amber, and Matt; 10 great grandchildren; her sister, Linda Craig; her brother, Gen. Wesley Craig, Jr. and his wife, Marda; and two nieces.
Joan’s funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 19, 2021 at the Shelly Funeral Home, 1460 Easton Rd., Warrington, PA 18976. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Joan’s memory may be made to Lighthouse Baptist Church, 2622 Durham Rd., Buckingham, PA 18912.
