Obituary for Jean Burns

Jean Hunter Burns, of Medford, NJ and formerly of Sellersville, PA, died peacefully at her home Wednesday, December 23rd. She was 80.
She was the wife of the late Thomas Burns who died in 2011.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Hunter.
She was a graduate of Little Flower High School, Philadelphia.
A member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, Medford, NJ, she was a former member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Sellersville. She was a former member of the Light of the World Charismatic Prayer Group at Nativity of our Lord, Founder of a chapter of Magnificat Ministry in Bucks County, a Third Order Carmelite and volunteered with the St. Vincent de Paul Society in Medford.
She was a daily communicant and spent much time in adoration. She had a great love for our Lord and the Blessed Mother and loved to share her faith and the joy it brought her. She had a radiant smile and love of life and family.
She is survived by her four children, Victoria Bachman and her husband, Kenneth, Joanne Handschuh and her husband, Robert, Thomas Burns, Jr. and his wife, Lisa and Paul Burns and his wife, Melissa. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Jean’s Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, 12/31/2020, at 10 AM in St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 856 Euclid Ave., Warrington, PA. Interment will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont, PA. The family will receive friends after 9AM until the time of Mass. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Interment will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery.
