Obituary for James J. Shanahan

James J. Shanahan, of Warminster PA, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He was 76.
Jim was a Chief Inspector for the Philadelphia Police Department. He was on the force for 38 years.
A long time resident of Philadelphia, Jim enjoyed spending the winter months in Pompano Beach, FL. In the summer months, he resided at the Regatta Club Condo Association in Wildwood, NJ, where he enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Helen Shanahan; son, Mark Shanahan; brothers, Paul and Joseph Shanahan; and sister, Suellen Becker. Jim will be deeply missed by his children, Kelly Ehrgott (Doug), Gary Shanahan (Kristi) Kyle Shanahan and Sean Shanahan. Also, by his sister, Sheila Voce; many nieces and nephews; and 12 grandchildren, Kasey, Kati, Patrick, Mary Rose, Connor, Luke, Aileen, Ryan, Jake, Kyle, Brady and Kian.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 11 AM at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 605 W. Street Rd., Warminster, PA 18974. Family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
