Obituary for James george Levitsky

James G. Levitsky Jr. passed away on Sunday December 19, 2021 at his home in Warminster. James was 80 years old.
James was the husband of the late Valerie F. (Davies) Levitsky.

Born in Philadelphia he was the son of the late James G. and Rose (Metusek) Levitsky, Sr.

Jim’s love for his family was endless; he was always there for them whenever they needed him. From building gymnastic equipment to help his daughter learn a back handspring, to building an oversized swing set the help them learn how to fly… He truly never stopped thinking of his family.

Jim selflessly cared for his wife when she became sick with ALS and went above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable at home where she wanted to be until the day she passed.

During the toughest time in his life, Jim turned to St. Joseph’s Church and had always said that it was because of the Church he was able to get through the loss of his daughter Christine. She was just 17 years old when she passed.

Jim loved his job as an IT professional; he loved the challenge of figuring out the root cause of a computer issues and was lucky to be able to travel the world performing his job. Jim built many computers at home for his family when most people did not have home computers. Jim also enjoyed fixing or building just about anything he was able to by reading how to in his collection of books.

A few of his many projects were rebuilding cars, building his backyard deck and barn, and building a surround sound theater room. Jim also had a love for food and beer and enjoyed these more often after his retirement. Jim often enjoyed his food and beer while watching movies in his recliner at night after he was done whatever project he had completed that day.

Jim was truly the best Father, Pop Pop, and husband a family could ask for and will forever be a guiding role model to them.
James is survived by his daughter Valerie N. Levitsky. He was the brother of Joan Swayne, Rosemary LaHart, and George Levitsky. James was the grandfather of Angelina Farries. In addition to his wife James was preceded in death by his children Christine and James Levitsky.
