Obituary for James Travis Harris
James Travis Harris, of Warminster, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at his residence. He was 76.
Jim was the loving partner of Marie Greene. The couple has spent 25 years together.
Born in Burlington, NC, he was a son of the late Roy and Juanita Harris.
Jim proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1968.
James worked for the Office of the Secretary of Defense, in the Defense Contract Management Agency based out of the Philadelphia location.
In his free time, James enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and outdoor activities.
In addition to his partner, Marie, Jim will be missed by his son, Mark Harris (Kristy); his brother, Donald Harris (Carmen); Marie’s children, Diane Gigliotti (John), Deborah Schenk (Steven); Marie’s grandchildren, Brittany, Zack, Miranda, Tyler; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by his two sisters, Jeanette and Donna.
A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 3, 2021 at the Shelly Funeral Home, 1460 Easton Rd., Warrington, PA 18976. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
