James B. “Jim” Gramlich, of Plumstead Twp., passed away with his loving family by his side on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Abington-Jefferson Hospital. He was 79.

Jim was the loving husband of Eileen Sturges Gramlich.

Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Joseph and Isabella Gramlich.

Jim was employed as a carpenter for the Philadelphia Carpenter’s Union. Prior to retirement, Jim owned his own business that his children would work at while they were growing up.

In his free time, Jim enjoyed trips to the beach and muscle car shows. He was a back yard mechanic, repairing cars and tractors with his children. He was a true craftsman and it showed in the quality of the many projects that he built for his family and friends. His greatest enjoyment in life came from spending time with loved ones.

In addition to his wife, Eileen, Jim will be deeply missed by his children, James B. Gramlich Jr., Jennifer M. Gramlich (Douglas Horn), Gail M. Gramlich; his only granddaughter, Samantha Lee Austin; his brother, Joseph Gramlich (Irene); and his three sisters, Geraldine McGrath, Isabelle Rzeszuteck, and Cathryn Gramlich.

Jim’s celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Shelly Funeral Home, 5930 Easton Rd, Plumsteadville, PA 18947. His family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jim ‘s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN.
