Herbert Millstone, of Warrington, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021 at his residence. He was 93.
He was the wife of Ann Millstone.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Charles and Rose Millstone.
Herb proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army from 1946 to 1948.
Herb attended and taught for one year at Delaware Valley College.
After separating from the Army, Herb started his own Landscaping business, Millstone Landscaping and Nursery. Herb had a strong work ethic. Working in Philadelphia and the suburbs, his artistic and creative talents made him a leader in his industry. Herb was a master craftsman and enjoyed working with wood and metal designing and manufacturing artistic gates. He was proud of the home he built on his land for his family in Warrington. Herb also spent 14 years building a sailboat on a 48 foot Sunward Hull, finishing the interior with cherry, walnut and ash trees he harvested on his property. He and Ann then enjoyed 15 years traveling and living on the sailboat.
In addition to his wife, Ann, Herb will be deeply missed by his daughter, Carli Millstone Fida (Richard); and his son Robert (Laura); 3 grandchildren, Serena Rose, Sheila Ann, Miles; 4 great grandchildren; and his sister, Miriam Heller. Herb was preceded in death by a daughter Donna.
Herb’s services will be held privately at the family’s home.
