Heidi Rebecca Dolan, age 70, passed away on June 22, 2020 with her son Joseph at her side after living with ALS for 11 years.

She was married to Joseph Dolan for 48 years who preceded her in death on May 23, 2016.

Heidi loved helping people and dedicated her life to fostering many needy children, working in the medical profession as a home health nurse, a nurse in a pediatric office, and finishing her nursing career caring for the elderly at Heritage Towers. Her infectious love of life and incredible sense of humor will be missed by all who know Heidi.

Heidi is survived by her devoted son, Joseph Dolan, Jr., whom she loved very much. She is also survived by her loving sister, Faith Rudolph (Chris); her beloved nieces Sue Mohan (Vince), Cassandra and Grace Rudolph; her thoughtful nephew, Rick Doyle; along with the many friends who touch her life.

Heidi and Joe want to express their gratitude to the staff and members of Lenape Valley Church who have done so much for their family. They also want to recognize and thank the caring nurses from Grandview Home Care and Mae Gingrich whose love and dedication was truly a blessing.

A private service will be held at a future date. Heidi will see you all again under the rainbow bridge.

Joey, wish I could be there with Rich tomorrow and wish you my condolences in person. Heidi was a special and courageous woman, mother and wife. She fought a difficult battle with grace and determination. I texted with her often and she always had a kind and loving word for me. I know that she is with her beloved husband now and without any pain. You were a wonderful son Joey and she knew that. My prayers are with you tomorrow.

Your Mom and Dad raised a solid son. As your Uncle and fortunate nephew of your Dad and Heidi, I am extremely proud of you for the way you stood by your Mom as well as you did your Dad for so many years.

Mom was a trooper and fought hard.

Your Mom’s infectious laugh and smiling face will be missed by all of us.

Your Mom had boundless energy and was a joy to be around.

From the constraints of her hospital bed, she was a great inspiration to me and strengthened my relationship with the Lord. Even in the last few years of her life she sent me scripture readings and we would both shared our trust in the Lord, until she could no longer text. What a great gift she gave me.

I am VERY sorry for your loss Joe. I hope, in honor of both your Mom and Dad, that you will recognize how much they wanted you to enjoy life. Now’s your time Joe; sieze the opportunity and enjoy every moment; the good and the challenging. It’s all good Joe!

God, your Dad and your precious Mom are watching over you.

Uncle Rick

Dear Joe, I remember your parents so well, when they lived here on Tohickon Lane. They were always so sweet and cooperative and I appreciate it getting to know them. I also remember how they raised you and what a fine young man you were. You had such a good attitude and were so easy to get along with. I pray that God will comfort you and your loss and that all the fawn memories will ease the pain. May God bless you! Pat Lyford
