Harold W. Bodder, Jr., 75, of Bedminster Twp., Pennsylvania, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Doylestown Hospital.
He was the loving husband of Mary Ann Bodder for 55 years. Together they had four children: Stacy Bodder (Bethany), Dana Moyer (Tracy), Deanne Dale (David), and Jeremy Bodder (Lisa), along with fourteen grandchildren: Isaac (Rebekah), Lydia (Christopher), Rachel, Joel, Coleton, Colin (Hannah), Courtney (Alexander), Megan, Nathan, James, Joan, Matthew, Thomas, Jonathan, and one great grandchild: Elaina. Harold was born in Quakertown, PA to the late Flora and Harold W. Bodder, Sr. He is survived by his two sisters, Joanne Heacock (Jay) and Jeanne Moyer (Dave), and his brother, Kevin Bodder (Cheryl), and a host of ones who think of him fondly as their dad.
Harold grew up on a farm in Bucks County, PA and was a farmer for the early part of his life before starting a career as a steel fabricator/welder working for Kennametal and Schlosser Steel for over 40 years. He was an active member of Grace Gospel Chapel for most of his life. He wholeheartedly served as a song leader, Sunday School teacher, and deacon. He also had a heart for the men and women who found themselves in Bucks County Correctional Facility and regularly visited and ministered to them as part of the prison ministry at Grace. He also used his skills as an all-around handyman to do many projects on the facilities and the grounds. He was beloved by all for his passion for singing, for people, and for his Lord who he shared with everyone he came in contact with.
Harold never lost his love for farming, always keeping a large garden of fresh produce. His kids would attest to that as they were an active part in its upkeep. He also brought his work home as a hobby where he loved to be out in his shop working on projects.
A memorial for Harold will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022. Visitation with the family will start at 9:00 A.M. and the memorial service will start at 10:00 A.M., with internment and a luncheon to follow. The service will be held at Grace Gospel Chapel, 5582 Easton Rd., Plumsteadville, PA 18949. He will be laid to rest at Fountainville Chapel Cemetery, 1324 Ferry Rd., Doylestown, PA 18901.
