Obituary for Grace Josephine Meckes (Begley)
Grace Josephine Meckes (nee Begley), of Horsham Twp., passed away on Monday, May 30, 2022 at Abington Memorial Hospital. She was 75.
Grace was the loving wife of the late Joseph Meckes, who passed away in April of 2016.
Born July 16, 1946 in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Mary Begley.
She was a 1964 graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School.
Grace will be deeply missed by her two daughters, Marisa Filan (Kevin), Loreen Wallace (Kevin); 4 grandchildren, Braydon, Kieran, Devon, Gavin; and three sisters, Catherine Marsh, Maryellen Staccardo, and Ann Smith.
In addition to her husband and parents, Grace is preceded in death by her siblings, Patrick Begley, John Begley, Daniel Begley, Sally Carideo, and Rose Ciocca.
Grace’s Requiem of Divine Liturgy will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1545 Easton Rd., Warrington, PA 18976. Grace’s family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Grace’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 503 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN.
