Obituary for Giovanni Battista Randazzo

Giovanni Randazzo passed away peacefully, surrounded by his beloved family on Wednesday January 1, 2020, at Abington Jefferson Hospital. He was 78 years old.
Born in Carini, Sicily Giovanni was the son of the late Francesco and Maria (Nee Sgroi) Randazzo.
In Italy he was a Carabiniere (Italian Special Forces). He then came to America in 1970 working in excavation, which was his first job in New York. He then moved to New Jersey and worked as a driver for Roma Food enterprises. His love for pizza led him to open his first pizza shop, Carini’s Pizza in Bensalem, Pa.
Giovanni most enjoyed being surrounded by his family and friends and he adored his children and grandkids. His hobbies included fishing and gardening. He loved making wine, listening to music and watching soccer games, his most favorite team was Palermo. He also loved sitting around the table and talking about old times in Italy and reminiscing with his family and friends.
Giovanni is the loving husband of Giacoma (Nee Mannino) Randazzo.
In addition to his wife Giovanni is survived by his children Maria Cracchiolo (Pietro), Frank (Jennifer), and John Randazzo. He was the brother of Ninfa Passalacqua (Lorenzo) and Rosalino Randazzo (Angela). He is also survived by his grandchildren Cristina, Phillip, and Jacqueline Cracchiolo, and Giovanni, Dominic and Giuliana Randazzo.
Giovanni’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday January 6, 2020 at 1:00 PM, with words of remembrance beginning precisely at 12:45pm at St. Cyril of Jerusalem Catholic Church, 1410 Almshouse Rd., Jamison, PA 18929. the family will receive friends 10-12:30 at the church. Interment will follow at Pine grove Memorial Park.
