Obituary for Fraser M. Wall

Fraser M.  Wall
Fraser M. Wall, a long time resident of Warrington Township, died on September 11, 2014 at Abington Hospital Hospice Center. He was 77 years old. Fraser was the husband of Mary M. Cleary Wall, to whom he was married for 45 years. Born in Toronto, Canada he was the son of the late Frank and Mary Ellen Wall. Fraser was a graduate of LaSalle High School and Villanova University. He was employed for over 30 years with Selas Corporation of America in Dresher, PA as a Chemical Engineer. Fraser lived a life of community service. He served his country in the Army and was a pillar of his community throughout his adult years. Fraser was a member of the Warrington Township Planning Commission for 33 years, serving as Chairman or Vice Chairman for 28 of those years. Fraser also served the community’s youth, spending 15 years on the Board of the Warrington Swim Team, and 15 years umpiring softball games, and refereeing soccer matches. After his retirement, Mr. Wall spent countless hours preparing for the standing room only history courses he offered through the Continued Learning for Retirees program held at Del Val College.
Reading and learning, traveling and history, and food and good wine were his passions. He enjoyed playing golf and was a longtime member at Sandy Run Country Club. He loved his gourmet and bridge groups and was an avid sports fan, with a particular interest in the Eagles and Phillies.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughters; Susan Wall Evans and her husband Brian, Kathleen Mackey and her husband Jim, and Carolyn Wall. He was the brother of Frank Wall, and the late Gail Scott. He is survived by his grandchildren Grace and Reagan Evans, James IV, Aubyn, and Anna Mackey, and many nieces and nephews.
Fraser’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September. 16, at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 856 Euclid Ave., Warrington. Interment will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at the Shelly Funeral Home 1460 Easton Road Warrington, PA., and on Tuesday at the Church from 9:00 am until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Robert Bellarmine Church.
