Obituary for Emil D. Schmidt
Emil Donald Schmidt, a resident of Doylestown for the past 20 years, passed away Monday, April 7, 2014 at the Neshaminy Manor. He was 86.
Emil was the loving husband of Alma Schmidt.
Born in Philadelphia, Emil was a son of the late Emil and Edith Schmidt.
He was a graduate of Lehigh University obtaining a degree in mechanical engineering.
Emil was proud to have served with the US Marines during WWII.
In addition to his wife, Emil is survived by a son Mark and his wife Geri, a daughter Madeline Zaveta and her husband Richard and 7 step-children. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to Emil’s funeral mass 11:00 am Friday, April 11, 2014 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 235 East State Street, Doylestown where the family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the time of mass.
Interment will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Emil’s name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105. www.stjude.org
