Elizabeth F. Galdi of Jamison formerly of Philadelphia passed away at her home on Saturday March 30, 2019. She was 79 years old. Born in Philadelphia Elizabeth was the daughter of the late Frank and Concetta (Pannuccio) Scavillo.

Elizabeth was the wife of the late Sgt. Ralph M. Galdi, of the Philadelphia Police Dept., who was killed in the line of duty in March 1986. Together they shared 24 years of marriage.

Elizabeth was a graduate of St. Hubert’s High School for Girls, class of 1957. She had worked as a secretary in the Business Office at Holy Family College. She enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and vacationing with her family in Ocean City, NJ. In her free time, Elizabeth enjoyed baking Italian cookies, she had planted a tomato garden every year, she loved the casinos and was proud to own stock in "Jean Nate Perfume." Elizabeth also volunteered at the Great Strides Annual Walk for Cystic Fibrosis.

Elizabeth was a Communicate of St. Cyril of Jerusalem Church, in Jamison.

Elizabeth is survived by her children, Donna Ludovico (late Joseph), Elizabeth McLaughlin (William), Ray Galdi (Kelly) and Michael Galdi (Kristina). She is also survived by her grandchildren Angela Ludovico, Christa McLaughlin, Molly Galdi, Ray Galdi, and Rocco Galdi.

Elizabeth’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, April 8, 2019 at 10:30 AM at St. Cyril of Jerusalem Church, 1410 Almshouse Road, Jamison, PA 18929. Family will receive friends from 8:30 AM until the time of the Mass. Interment will be held privately.
