Obituary for Eleanor B Roeger
Eleanor B. Roeger passed away March 2, 2014 at Neshaminy Manor. She was 95.
Born in Bristol, PA., she was the daughter of Emma and Henry Black. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert “Rudy” Roeger. As a couple they had enjoyed spending time at the shore in LBI. Eleanor was a homemaker during her 56 years of marriage. Her life centered on her husband, children and grandchildren. Home and family were very important. Eleanor often reminisced about her childhood in Bristol. She had attended Bristol High School. Eleanor loved music, singing and playing the piano. She was an avid reader and enjoyed walking. She was a longtime member of Doylestown Presbyterian Church. Eleanor will be remembered as a gentle caring person who could always find goodness in anyone, friends and strangers alike.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Todd J. Eschbach and her brother, Henry M. Black, Jr.
Eleanor is survived by her children, Darla Eschbach (James) and Ellouise Brown (John). She is also survived by her 3 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Eleanor’s Funeral Service will be held Saturday April 26, 2014 11:00am at the Shelly Funeral Home Easton & Keller’s Church Roads Plumsteadville. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home from 10:00-11:00am. Internment in Doylestown Cemetery will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to Neshaminy Manor Resident Welfare Fund, 1660 Easton Rd. Warrington, PA., 18976 or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
